Went
to Briones for a short afternoon. Parked at the oak glen picnic area
and walked up the trail toward the two large group campsites. The
weather was nice and the trail was relatively uncrowded possibly because
this park is set a little farther away from the cities than Tilden,
Redwood etc.
I
found out that the EB parks website has PDFs you can download which
list pictures of the local plants and windflowers. That pretty cool, I
spent a little bit of time trying to ibdentify plants. I found positive
matches for bush monkey flower and yellow charlock. The group campsites
were nothing too special. I think this park would be the most beautiful
to hike in the early springtime.
